1. My guiding light Abul Mahdi was a pillar of support
Where now are the aides of God's religion and its buttress?

2. So the pigeons have no sword among their dwellings
That would reap the seeds of the people of injustice

3. An affliction has befallen the defenders of Islam
And so the Cornerstone and the pillars have leaned and swayed

4. Every eye sheds copious tears
And every heart is aflame with sorrow

5. Do not be gone long, oh Abul Mahdi
Even if a people have distanced themselves from you

6. Rise with your resolve, it is the sword alone
Truly the great rise with the sword of resolve alone

7. Your day was known for its glorious deeds
So do not fret if they deny your superiority

8. If the news of your death has saddened a people of no morals
Then shake the dust from the eye of Shariah and blaze the trail

9. Today Islam has been slighted
A great slight that makes the viscera shudder

10. Who now for the lessons whose landmarks have faded
That students would flock to when lessons were called?

11. Who now for the pulpits that he ascended and from which
He dispensed the overflowing fruits of knowledge?

12. Five hundred would circle his pulpit
All proficient in merit and diligent

13. The Sign of God you were called at times, and when
Your sermons swelled, you were called oh lion!

14. You fought crowns in the way of God that gathered
Against injustices until the knots were undone

15. In your forbearance, you never envisioned
An unseated ruler except seeing the army of death gathering against you

16. How often you supported the downtrodden
For it is the duty of those fallen to support the downtrodden

17. The enemies pray destruction when they scheme
And you rain death on them when they thunder

18. You strove with truth to elevate its rays
As they strove to extinguish it

19. You breathed a lofty spirit into the body of Islam
While it was hostage to that lifeless body

20. You drew the Muslims' disposition toward
The peak of ascendance, but missed the chance

21. You strove tirelessly to unite them
Until they responded to the caller of truth and united

22. Your past efforts would have borne
Fruitful outcomes had you remained, living in prosperity

23. If your fair hand denied a group
God is best witness that it is a hand

24. You rescued Iran where victims sought refuge
From the utterly unforbearing and tough tyrants

25. For the unjust there every incident
Makes the people of justice shudder

26. Wealth is plundered and honor violated
As the adversary annexes it aggressively

27. You stood for truth, concerned for a faction
You saw subjugated under hands of injustice

28. Following former role models in ordeals
Until you attained the feat they attained

29. After you, oh sun of Saud, the East has become
A scene of mourning for you, aggregating sorrows

30. Your lives were solace during tribulation
And now all comfort after you is misery

31. Oh full moon dispelling darkness when gloom descends
You shall be missed when adversity comes

32. If the sun derived its light from your light
No land or country would lack its brightness

33. If the rain borrowed your generosity
Satiation and charity would encompass all

34. If the white falcons took after your resolve
No coat of mail would avail if destined to be pierced

35. You were uniquely matchless in description
Your like shall not be born in eras to come

36. Surely existence was graced with a saintly gem through you
Whose merit no one can match

37. The counterfeit change of the ignorant diminishes not your merit
But you gained more merit whenever they tried to demean

38. All the virtuous extol you
None disparage you but the ignorant and envious

39. The heavens rain goodness where your hands reached
Establishing piety, knowledge and integrity

40. And the earth you were laid to rest in was sanctified
A soul journeying to God in His contentment
