1. A day of good fortune's bird flew by
And gave glad tidings from it of good signs

2. The noble nation obtained what it sought
So every freeman's eye was delighted

3. It obtained its demands on the tenth of July
Oh, blessed is the tenth of July!

4. Suns of justice shone brightly in it
Dispelling the darkness of injustice that cloaked us

5. A day whose dawn adorned the brow of time
So time donned a face radiant and blooming

6. A day in which Islam was revived and its people united
Aligning their innate dispositions

7. A day in which the free obtained cool water
From a spring of righteousness, pure in its sources

8. I see you deny us glory out of ignorance
Though the sights of your eyes are its landmarks

9. The peak of ascension was once our abode
And how many an abode of intimacy does memory recall!

10. We had a home in the highest celestial sphere
Its flourishing is told in our exploits

11. We were the first to bring down your Caesar
With the sword from his throne, so he bowed while the sword triumphed

12. You will come to know the force of our resolve
When it collides with the billowing, swelling waves

13. And you, my critic, in love with a charming lady
This passion you show does not reveal its secrets

14. Your eyes have betrayed you in judging her beauty
So you blamed, foolish and hasty, her faultless lover

15. Freedom dressed in chaste robes so none
But the indecent would find fault in her companion

16. A maiden whom law protected from dishonor
Whoever bears malice, the law deters him

17. The youth of mankind were tempted by a land
Where flowers bloomed in a blessed meadow

18. So they bustled about with cups of wine
Enervating the zealous, weakening the firm

19. It bound gazes, intoxicated yet composed
When the beauty's robe fluttered, enticing

20. Bestowing generously, averting glances
So few remained firm in the burning sands

21. Oh soul's wish, separation has been prolonged
It is time the forsaken lover was reunited

22. Be just with us, O king of beauty, in a time
When the censorious blame even his neighbor

23. The age of justice, its beauty adorns it
As if it were the necklace adorned by its gems

24. An age in which the height of nobility was reached by a king
Who spread the shade of justice, abundant

25. Muhammad the Fifth, fortunate his rising
By which the kingdom prospered in all its realms

26. A king by whom Islam was strengthened and prevailed
The free of Iran, so Islam thanks him

27. Resolute in determination, victorious in banner
For God aids him when the enemy intends harm

28. Their courage astounded the enemy's hearts
Even from afar by their ferocious attacks

29. Had they not been faithful to the rule of law that made them
On a day when the horizon teems with his armies

30. Their creed is the might of God's religion
A creed of conquest – how oft its cycles turned!

31. So congratulations to the exalted nation in its joy
and light, with lasting bliss and ample fortune

32. And congratulations to Abu Ahmad, for glad tidings have come
and life is complete, with prosperity in its homes

33. Praise befits your glory, arranged and flowing
Satisfying its composer, scattering its sprinkler

34. That a people hoard abundance lacking morals
Yet praise is the finest treasure you have stored

35. When the dew of your palm rains on a land
It enriches the earth, should its clouds bear heavy rains

36. You are a branch, lofty and high
Matchless in glory, foremost and peerless

37. The fragrance of your good name suffuses the club
As the scent of the meadow spreads with its breeze

38. You lit up the darkness, you are its kindling
In the blackness of night giving people vigilance

39. As if the flowers of meadows descended to earth
While your face is the radiant, beaming moon

40. As if the arrogance of mannerisms shone from you
A light to dazzle the onlooker's eye

41. You remain in abundant grace, adorned
Remaining as life gratifies, blooming
