1. Where the young dew
Meets the wine-makers,

2. A dwelling where
My life was soft and plentiful.

3. A life the days never blessed more,
Nor made happier.

4. How my eyes flirted with it,
Bashfully, coquettishly, singing.

5. The sword of fate sings
In its eyelids,

6. O you who saw a gazelle
With a glance that hunted a lion,

7. Your smile snares
A string of pearls.

8. O perfect of beauty, give me to drink
Your cooling life-draught,

9. And quench the fever of my love
That melts for you like that candle.

10. And inherit the pouring of the night
That returned upon it eternally.

11. For it is not just that I live
Wandering, raving, sleepless,

12. Unless praising Qasim,
Son of the illustrious Ahmad,

13. The benefactor, the generous one,
The valiant, steadfast hero.

14. Like rain and lion in
The day of battle and strife

15. Life itself would speak of him
If it were able to praise and extol.

16. The outstanding one, attaining
The highest extremity of the lofty goal,

17. He relates the narrative of his virtue
Verified and well-founded.

18. His merits like the stars
Giving light, numbering, counting.

19. The excellent, beneficent ones
Who prevail and help.

20. Every protector who enters
The gathering when he sits

21. O rider who crosses the horizon
In continual salvation and aid

22. Bringing to the journey of life
Escape and deliverance.

23. With it the heaven of glory
Extols the glorious, steadfast one.

24. Meet him with the sea of dew
Surging with foam.

25. O benefactor who left me
Bound by gratitude for his favors

26. Which overflowed despite envy.
He who thanks custom and he who disbelieves

27. Are not equal.
I remain hopeful of attaining glory,

28. Revered and glorified,
The patron saints are a blessing

29. And the enemies a curse.
The bird did not rhyme

30. In its branches, and sing.
