1. The days have flowed between me and my dwellings
As rain flows to the seeker of rain

2. And I raised him until he became a young man, tall and slender
When he stands, he equals the towering date palm

3. Then when he reached the pride of his youth
And approached like a well-balanced spear aimed at me

4. He dismissed my wealth and authority and turned against me
