1. When I stood before the Imam
His followers and congregation delayed

2. I approached his crown and throne
For this is the Most High and that is vast

3. Laughing at the coolness of the righteous Prophet
Pleased with your conduct in what is ordained

4. You have journeyed, so he saw
And I said, so he was delighted by what he heard

5. And I praised your brilliant virtues
Upon the king of the age for what he has done

6. You rose like the morning star
Guiding to the sun when it rose

7. And whoever charges the age with the likes of you
Has charged the age with more than it can bear
