1. A bride with cheeks blushing red
Like a rose in color, her fragrance spread

2. As if a planet greeting me
Her body hollow, her soul aglow with glee

3. Rosy, bashful, yet full of life
In the corner of her eye, her age belied

4. I asked the red carnelian and I know
After her drink no pearl could brighter glow

5. She brought vigor to my blood anew
Our natures were compatible and true

6. For the Pleiades she had a ring-marked palm
From which flowed henna the color of dusk's calm

7. As if she and the morn picked the dawn
A cluster of light, gone is night's yawn

8. Whenever the darkness of night crossed her path
The daybreak within her lit up in wrath

9. A wonder, the burner and the burnt
No ember or scorch from either was learnt
