١. تخالفَتِ النياتُ يوم تحمّلوا
فركبٌ إلى شرق وركبٌ إلى غربِ
2. Yet the distance covered wasn't what came between them-
Rather it was my heart, torn by their divide.
٢. وما قُدّ قَدّ السيرِ بالسيرِ بينهمْ
ولكنّما المنقدّ بينهمُ قلبي
