1. O home of my joy, in my sadness and grief,
I bid you farewell, from ruin and decline.
2. Whenever the miser feels safe in you,
You become, because of me, anxious and wary.
3. I take no pleasure in long associations,
Nor do I seek any but short relationships.
4. In life I have no asset to extend for it
Except visiting settlements and no camels.
5. How many she-camels have I hamstrung
At the first signs of old age or sickness.
