1. Let misers be when they withhold and hoard
While memories of union sing like larks

2. And gift today from you embroidered gifts
To Imran, handing them with palm fronds

3. To he who chooses the finest lineage containing
Pleasant gifts along with continuity

4. I can smell those who generously return from him
A gift not paltry or trifling

5. Your needs will be met if they weigh
Upon you by spending useful and beneficial

6. A young man bearing heavy burdens marching on
His grandfather being steadfast, clan Al-Aseed

7. I swear I will praise you in preparedness
And gracious Yemen despite the envious

8. With words that remain beautifully sung
By the mouths of reciters in melody

9. I will return content and speak the truth
As the rest of endless time goes by

10. And before you I never pierced mounted swords
To let out the spittle of rugged hills

11. So excuse me, with you excusing me, so heed me
For the flawed is not like the praiseworthy man

12. He was like a snake charmed into silence
By the charming of its repeated charm

13. So I swear its charm will not return to it
Nor will I praise it what I live, my hands
