1. By greed you seek what their hands have given;
Noble ladies lavished their riches.
١. أَبِالبُخلِ تَطلُبُ ما قَدَّمَت
عَرانينَ جادَت بِأَموالِها
2. Far from it! You have opposed the deeds of the generous -
Unlike beautiful ladies with their fathers.
٢. فَهَيهاتَ خالَفتَ فِعلَ الكِرامِ
خِلافَ الجِمالِ بِأبوالِها
