Horizons have split open, spreading its perfume.

2. This conquest was achieved with glory and might,
While righteous tongues chant praises, extolling it.

3. The rise of Muslims and their view
Became proper, uniting them was best.

4. A rise with victory, and victory a shield,
So we praise our Lord for all He ordained.

5. I will recount what happened in the swift campaign
Of the lofty, prosperous Al Falahi family.

6. Abu Dhabi firmly resolved,
Mustering an army to fill plains and rugged hills.

7. Among those troops he sent a brother,
The most venerable, Abu Thunayan, a thinker.

8. A Yemeni clan rallied around him,
The Azd, their refuge being known for victories.

9. They marched on crooked paths, filling the skies,
Donned armor, fearing no calamity.

10. Lions of battle amidst raging chaos,

18. The armies of God came at them as if
A torrential flood whose waves were hurling forth hail.

19. Lightning in clouds of vengeance
Made them drink a cup they were forced to taste bitter.

20. Did they not expect the fierce lion to attack them,
Striking them from where they least expected?

21. It was not long before lightning struck them
At the hands of men who in battle have inherited patience.

22. Vengeance poured upon the Al Thuwayrat clan,
Their dwellings becoming pits of dust.

23. A promise deluded them, without any outcome,
As the Lord of the Throne exposed their secrets.

24. They attempted something beyond their ability,
Their wishes became their demise, for ages.

27. O Lord, disperse their gathering and erase their memory,
For they have seeded evil in the lands.

28. Purify the regions of earth from them, thoroughly,
To humiliate them and pride ourselves.

29. Leave no estates for them on earth,
Just as the people of Ad possessed none thereafter.

30. They tried the people of Al Filiyat, with the same ambition,
To aggrandize the grave issue that transpired.

31. Did they not expect doom upon themselves?
What wretched thinking brings disgrace and hardship!

32. On the day of the raids on Al Filiyat, ask where are
The tribes of Qutayb? They did not emerge, what's their excuse?

33. So their livestock was seized and became war booty,
Their blood flowing in their own abodes, wasted.

34. Did you not expect that when kings overpower
A village, they enslave even the free person?

35. Remind them of what they have forgotten of old,
And what has passed between us regarding news.

36. And ask Al Maamourah forum, what happened there?
Its streets cry over what time has made desolate.

37. No clan of Amer came to its aid,
So how could it, when it thought they were its backbone?

38. They attempted to recruit the Al Hamid clan,

What wretched treachery whose result is betrayal.

40. The armies of the Hilal clan of Amer came upon them,
You would think them the armies of the Kings of Persia.

41. For a period they stood against Sharh bin Ulwan,
At every rugged pass they encountered.

42. So too Wadi Al Ayn and the blackness of its slopes,
If you possess memory, their news will inform you.

43. The black serpents pass as if
Flashes of lightning emptied of their darkness.

44. Their fangs, if they tread
Upon the silent boulder, ignite it.

45. As do the she-camels they describe,
Passing with the caravans, unless obstructed.

46. The champions pass through there, every warrior
On a fierce day amidst blazing heat.

47. So where are the praiseworthy they lauded,
Who ascended the peaks of mountains, befriending the desert?

48. Calling them, “O Al Hamid clan, where are you?”
For these are armies from you seeking sanctuary.

49. But they fled, not answering the call,
Their defeat shall never be remedied.

50. And how many times did our raids come upon them suddenly
In Wadi Al Jard, praising the journey?

51. And how many cheeks did grief rend their garb,
Gaining from life only misery and burden?

52. They saw throngs in separate groups
Equipped, leaving traces from long ago.

53. Thereafter, when their ambitions withered,
From the first rank to the last rank.

54. They came seeking to travel towards Mulakk,
Abu Dhabi, the sea of dew with abundant hand.

55. Obedient in what his view requires of them,
And that they accept his command.

56. So he pardoned them and forgave their sin,
Whoever seeks forgiveness deserves to be forgiven.

57. The Al Falah family has prospered over all people,
And whoever comes to them, hardship becomes ease.

58. Their character is all beautiful,
And they are the refuge from every tyrant.

59. Their feats are black and white, crafted,
Their valleys red, their meadows green.

60. O greatly esteemed Sheikh exalted in worth,
You have been granted fortune and victory.

61. So accept this charming, most wondrous poem
Of Falahi origin and Hilali blossoming.

62. It distinguishes you with praise, thanks and commendation,
For you are worthy, so perfect its reward.
