1. Stand for a while, O messenger, at Al Refaa
And convey greetings to the people of that neighborhood

2. Embrace its inhabitants with salutations
For they are the object of my love and affection

3. And single out, among them, my brother Badr
From whom light has spread to every land

4. Son of the eminent Mubarak bin Ali
Who surpassed the generous and outshone every nobleman

5. Possessing virtues, generosity, loyalty
Kindness, guidance and righteousness

6. A sea of knowledge and trove of every merit
A sword in the face of heresy and unbelief

7. A rain when the clouds withheld their bounty
Succor for every disadvantaged wayfarer

8. When hands were miserly to their necks
His hands were open to every supplicant

9. Doors were shut to guests
Yet his abode was thronged with visitors

10. He welcomed delegations when they appeared
Rejoicing at their coming and going

11. O people of Al Refaa, pride yourselves
On companionship with this guiding star

12. He has mastered all branches of knowledge
And is clothed in wisdom and composure

13. God has granted him a station above his peers
Supreme over rivals and adversaries

14. O you who seek the happiness of two abodes
Cleave to his side, and you will attain bliss

15. Dubai gained esteem through him and its people
Acknowledged his leadership without doubt

16. With Mubarak, Al Refaa gained splendor and rose
To the highest ranks beyond measure

17. He is the recourse of scholars and literati
All lands bear witness to his virtue

18. In Hadith and Sunnah of the Chosen One
None can match him, with unbroken chains

19. So God, I hope you lengthen his life
A moon shining on all places remaining

20. O son of glorious ancestors, you were brought
A meager gift, aspiring to aptness

21. So look on it approvingly, and if you
Accept it, that is the sum of my desire

22. Then prayers be on the Prophet and his kin
Companions, followers and all nobles

23. One confessing his words' inadequacy said
Stand for a while, O messenger, at Al Refaa
