3. Do not stir in him dormant sorrows
Repeated by griefs in verses

4. And recited by the mouth of time in lament
His daughters suffice us as narrators

5. Then she disobeyed her father
Without regard for the harm of her defiance

ุฌุงุฑูุชู ุจูุบูุงู ูุนููููุชู ุฃุจุงูุง
ุบูุฑู ูููุฃุจูุฉู ุฃุฐู ุณูุฎูุทุงุชููู
6. So she blamed him for no fault
And made lawful his firmly held principles

7. And in his cradle she blamed him with sins
And repaid his virtues with sorrow

8. So he went while sorrow was a newborn
Until he comprehended the essence of his warnings

9. And sorrow is the fountain of souls
Whom the time did not please in its tribulations

10. And he hid from sight and spent the night
In his prayer rug complaining of his stumbles

11. And the reproach of days is like a prayer
So leave him immersed in his prayers

12. And settle under the shade of his tranquility
And hush his complaints and groans

13. A temple that evokes despair in the heart
With what is evident of his pure traits

ู ุฌูููู ุตููุงุชูู
14. Whoever gazes upon him sees an angel
Whose light shines in all his directions

ูููุฑููู ุณุงุทุนู ุจูููู ุฌูุงุชูู
15. Extending his palm imploring the King
Bashful of gaze from the majesty of His essence

ุฎุงุดูุนู ุงูุทุฑู ู
ู ุฌูุงูุฉู ุฐุงุชูู
16. Sorrow has written a line on his cheek
Wherein pains appear in every word:

17. His heart is for passion, and his eyes for melancholy
And all his gifts are for the worlds

ููู ูููู ูุจุงุชููู
18. And he is spoils for the events of nights
And lawful for the knocking of time's traits
ูกูจ. ููู ููุจู ูุญุงุฏุซุงุชู ุงูููุงูู
ูุญูุงูู ููุฏูุฑ ูุฑุนู ุตููุงุชูู
19. He sacrifices himself for the children of this world
And receives from his time its disasters

ู ุฏูุฑูู ูุงุฆุจุงุชูู
20. With a wilting heart and ample bosom
Gentle, not clamorous of his pains

21. He blames his soul for wishing
Without looking to its obstacles

22. All who exist reap their share
While he is deprived of its fruits

23. O sky of imagination, be generous with him
And grant him inspiration in your breaths

24. And imprint him with feeling to immortalize
The loftiest verse in his memories

25. The secret of rhythm is what was revelation
For passion and feeling are in its folds

28. Then he drains the dew from the heart
To flow moist upon his pages

29. The stream draws from it ink
So it enriches his paper and pens

30. He blamed his time but not its causes

34. The temple of love was built in the cage of the heart
Surrounded by shadow from its reeds

35. And the heart is a bell struck by passion
With the strings of its feeling in its clamor

36. So love overflows its banks
Whenever the echo of its beating rings

37. His poetry makes the boulders hear and lament
So the rocks soften from his groaning

38. Then it flows on the meter of the verses
And mimics the rhythm of his tone

39. And the birds of the sky learn from him
When he chants the stirring of his rhymes

40. The melancholy poet is immortalized
When he sheds his breath upon his pages

41. His day is like his yesterday in misery
And perhaps hope will shroud his tomorrows

42. If night falls he awaits the star sorrowfully
And moans his sighs to the Most High

43. Neither the darkness departs, nor does dawn lament
For a wretch the lowest of fates

44. If you saw himโand the night still cloaking, silenceโ
You would be shattered by the clamor of his agony

45. Wandering in the wilds of thought, lost,
Hoping for salvation from his enemies

46. Chanting in the mansions of night verses
Veiled by the air in its breeze

ุชู ุงูุญูุงุฉู ูู ุธููู

47. ... O my heart, if a night troubles you
And you grow weary of life in its darkness
ูคูง. ูุชูุทูููุนุชู ููุตุจุงุญู ููุฏ ุถูู
ูููุฑู ุงูุนููู ูู ุจูุณูู

48. And you look to the dawn but it is lost
And the light of dawn is in its smile

49. Do not say: O darkness, you have kindled

50. Perhaps in the night is mercy for one in pain

51. Immersing in disasters, increasing exhaustion

52. And when he awakens he sees a dawn
That dazzles the mind with the radiance of its gleam

53. Verily in dawn there is a splendor
Divided by our Creator's hand in His creatures

54. It filled the worlds, leaving not even
One in despair fallen into the abyss of regrets

ููุฐูุฐู ุงูุญูุงุฉ ูู ุฃูููุงุชู
55. The joy of the universe manifests in the morning
And the sweetness of life is in its early moments

56. While the melancholy poet addresses
His Lord as the dawn heralds good tidings

57. He was absent from the world of misery and overflowed
His soul and folded into the coolness of his salvation
