1. Ramadan tormented me, so it made me sick with headaches numbering the four dispositions
Fasting and jaundice make me swallow misery
١. رمضانُ أرمَضَني فأمرَضَني بصا
داتٍ على عددِ الطباعِ الأربعَهْ
2. And youth and estrangement from my heart are with it
٢. صومٌ وصفراءٌ تجرِّعُني الردى
وصبابةٌ وصدودُ من قلبي مَعَهْ
