1. Though I am stout of heart if I am patient,
My love tomorrow will go on his way.
١. وَإِنّي لَقاسي القَلبِ إِن كُنتُ صابِراً
وَحِبّي غَدا فيمَن يَسيرُ يَسيرُ
2. If I do not die of grief, care and regret,
After him I have sighs and moaning.
٢. فَإِن لَم أَمُت غَمّاً وَهَمّاً وَحَسرَةً
فَلي حَسَراتٌ بَعدَهُ وَزَفيرُ
3. I asked you of your going but you concealed it,
And the time for parting from you came early.
٣. سَأَلتُكُمُ عَن سَيرِكُم فَكَتَمتُمُ
وَقَد حانَ مِنكُم لِلفِراقِ بُكورُ
4. How could they intend separation when you are a princess,
You over every separation have command.
٤. وَكَيفَ نَوَوا بَيناً وَأَنتِ أَميرَةٌ
عَلى كُلِّ بَينٍ ما عَلَيكِ أَميرُ
