1. Whenever I reproached her, she apologized
So I used to hold back my tears when she apologized
١. كانَت ظَلومُ إِذا عاتَبتُها اِعتَذَرَت
فَكُنتُ أَحبِسُ دَمعي حينَ تَعتَذِرُ
2. But today she has despaired me from reproaching her
So despair has made my tears flow and roll down
٢. فَاليَومَ قَد آيَسَتني أَن أُعاتِبَها
فَاِستَقطَرَ اليأَسُ دَمعي فَهوَ يَنحَدِرُ
