1. What he began was enough to manifest
And if he returns, he will be most excellent
١. وَقَدْ كَفَى مِنْ بَدْئِهِ ما قَدْ بَدا
وَإِنْ ثَنَى فِي العَوْدِ كانَ أَحْمَدا
2. None cured the lofty except the master
None cured the lost except the guide
٢. لَمْ يَغْنَ بِالعَلْياءِ إِلَّا سَيِّدا
وَلا شَفَى ذا الغَيِّ إِلَّا ذُو الهُدَى
3. And our strength is strength when united
Its pillars grew firm and elevated
٣. وَعِزُّنا عِزٌّ إِذا تَوَحَّدا
تَثَاقَلَتْ أَرْكَانُهُ وَاعلَوَّدَا
4. You were like one whose hand entered a burrow
Missing the snake but meeting the lion
٤. كُنْتُمْ كَمَن أَدْخَلَ في جُحْرٍ يَدا
فَأَخْطَأ الأَفْعَى وَلَاقَى الأَسْوَدا
