1. Every day is a clear victory and triumph
And supremacy over enemies and subjugation

2. Time has come to you with excuse and repentance
For what it has committed when it was deceitful

3. The elegy was true about you, you are the supporter of
Religion, titles are nonsense and deterrence

4. You are the sword of Islam in truth, so no wonder
Your deceptions, O sword of time!

5. With you, Islam gained, O its sharpened sword
Pride increased, and polytheism and blasphemy diminished

6. Be confident in attaining what you hope for, indeed God
Rewards the servants for what they concealed

7. You have not ceased to secretly harbor jihad
Then you declared it openly when it became possible

8. All the treasures of kings will perish while your
Rewards and gratitude will remain

9. The lawful belongs to the one with spears, and you
Own nothing but the sword, white banner, and brown spear

10. Your justice encompassed the people of Levant, but
We are far away and the farthest extremity is Egypt

11. So we were deprived among them from the harvest we
Planted, and Zayd and Amr said:

12. Is it just that we are in the land of blasphemy
While you are raiding and slackening?

13. My share of that was notorious mention
What is my business with those who mention jihad?

14. Do not forget those who were your shadow during
Hardship and tight times when relief came

15. Indeed, good loyalty from a king like you
Is a merit quenched by nomads and settled people

16. So stay healthy and safe, and increase despite
Your enemies, day after night and dawn after dusk

17. Time does not neglect seeking your enemies
Nor did the one you prepared to fight relent

18. A friend to us like the night that hides
Smokes and shows light to those enlightened

19. He hides my wrongdoings and shows my good deeds
And keeps my secrets whether I am absent or present
