Time has tempted you to disgrace

To convey my greetings to Abu Salamah

3. And a warm welcome to the youth
Who clapped to the wine with musk's scent

4. Her allure is presented by the breeze
To the most stubborn, blameworthy one

5. Of unbreakable determination, who
Does not accept a life of disgrace

6. He signed his sunset with footsteps
And always refused the darkness

7. O son of glorious honor
And generosity, the highest moral traits

8. All those with a sword would lower their hands
In greeting to the virtuous and safe

9. Pull the tent closer when the air
Turns cold from a dark place

10. Should I be asked to bow, I would never
For I am no subservient weakling

11. Alas! The high-minded will never
Accept a partner who bows in humility

12. And why would people fear someone
Who never feared battle's adversity

13. One who you do not see regretting
Past deeds, expressing his remorse

14. And when ambitions burn, he lets
Reason rule them and agrees to its authority
