2. And will you kindle the embers of travelers
If we are found weak in battle?

3. Do you not know, O idle Yazid,
That we crush the shameless old man,

4. And we gouge out his eyes, and care not,
And place scum upon his brow?

5. So inform, if you encounter the sons of dogs,
That we, we crushed Bujair,

6. And we drenched Obaidah in anguish,
So he became our captive prisoner,

7. Boasting emptily in privacy,
Yet in war a cowering coward.
