1. O Qasim, though my share of sustenance escaped me
You are not to blame, tell me who should I blame?

2. If it's my bad luck that brought me anguish
Then in both cases you're the opponent and judge

3. You have given me wisdom but not means
Tell me, without means how can wisdom benefit?

4. Take a portion of my knowledge and give me means
And do not leave me to one whose being is an idol
