2. And people approved the denial of wealth,
While the bankrupt feigned affluence.

3. Go about as you wish, for people
Are crafty earners, sons of the crafty.

4. People are corrupt, and loyalty is scarce,
No one remains true to their word.

5. So be alone, without companions,
Not close to known uncle or aunt.

6. For in solitude you find comfort
From the shame of gossip and words.
