1. Add me to the generous, and say he is foolish,
And leave off every free man and miser;

2. I blame oppression, not free choice, and I do not see
I blame the asking of the slothful beggar;

3. I stretch my hand to the giver of wealth every seeker,
And I withhold it from the arrogant seeker.
