1. My wisdom and philosophy are enough for me,

As a wolf preys on the biggest sheep.

6. He left me and inclined towards deceit,
Shooting me with arrows from among the nations.

7. He denies my old kindness, yet whoever
Denies the kindness of a benefactor is wicked.

8. If my mind had been sound, I would not have accepted
To choose for my health the ill of my illness.

9. But I imitated kings and the sons
Of big businessmen and foreigners.

10. If I do the like again, my beard will not be safe
From being grasped by hot tongs.
