1. Living among the vulgar is bleak,
Their censure is blame, blame,

2. No oppressor is ignorant or stupid,
His oppression makes him oppressive,

3. He who is not naturally wise and learned,
His nature has refused knowledge,

4. And every person has a status
Which agrees with his nature and character,

5. But the ignorant vulgar suffer torment
And cause the noble torment.
