1. Abu Al-Hassan the eloquent youth
His bounties do breasts draw near

2. Sweet-tongued yet no busybody
His fingers nimble and quick to write

3. Slow in bestowing favors unnoticed
But swift at ruining the sublime

4. He shuns rest throughout his life
Thus fearing not what he may reap
