1. To God I complain of the heedlessness of companions,
To the end of one who is a comrade and disputant.

With proof of assured truth that does not fail.

3. Yet they disdain my words due to a lack of insight,
And if they understood, they would rise to make fine distinctions.

4. It is up to me to explain discourse to them, yet I see
