1. She saw a lightning towards Al-Aqeeq so she yearned
And the old longing reminded her so she lamented

2. She wished for the soft life in its plateaus
Yet she does not have from her life what she wished

3. She yearned for the water of Al-Aqeeq and its people
The yearning of one who slipped from the good life

4. Though time, if it ties
Joy to a people, it would repeat and dissolve
