1. I say to those who sought resolve one day
And knowing the enemy from the friend

2. And desired reward and pride
Without determination and certainty of confidence

3. If you saw a blind man on the road
Misguide him from the road to the strait

4. And if fire breaks out in the land of Egypt
From the great cities or side of the group

5. And you saw the blind man safe
Misguide him from safety to the fire

6. And if you find him in good living
Make his living bitter with effort

7. And guide him peacefully with soft speech
As a friend leans to a friend

8. And walk heading high aiming glory
Until you climb the rope of the comrade

9. And stand from afar in the highest place
Of the pillars away from subtle cunning

10. And stand and repel him forcefully
So he falls from it into a deep valley

11. And if he seeks shade, misguide him also
To the well of prey, to the slick

12. And place a heavy rock on his leg
So he sinks, no floating, the drowning's float

13. And if he seeks Damascus, guide him gently
To what is upside down under the skin tent

14. And call the Jinn in Saba'at arrow
Take him with the wing of night with lightening

15. And leave your master to kill him, a slave
Who doubts the system and the veins

16. And if you find a catapult one day
On Mount Al Lakham or Al 'Ubayq

17. Place the blind man and do not hesitate from fear
Nor shame with catapult's basket

18. And tell your men pull and say
The fleet sunk in a deep valley

19. And do not rise a foot until
People rise for the blazing resurrection

20. I suffered with the blind for a long time
So I suffered much injustice

21. I held paper in charity for a while
So for them I was sticky thief

22. My eyes saw from them every
Ugly flaw in the morn and eve

23. If I advised the blind man he confronted
To deceive you from serious harm

24. And if I looked at him explaining knowledge
Ignorance helped the frown face

25. Shyness of face in eyes appears
As light appears with dawn

26. And God said about the blind a saying
Explaining the speech of the truthful

27. When the seeing traveled, he met a blind
And never the prisoner from the released

28. If you accompanied a blind on the road
You accompanied evil in a friend's garb

29. Contrarily if you spoke truth word
He removed the truth with real ignorance

30. And if you saw him in bad deed
You became like a blower in sin bugle

31. When I wanted to dismount at a place
He refused except dismount on the crevices

32. And if I fed him honey and cream
He complained and said you've diminished my livelihood

33. Whenever I honored him and mentioned good
He distorted praise into tasting speech

34. And he bubbled and then tied up arguing
Like croaking of frogs with croak

35. So if prettifying himself occurred in him one day
You'd find waste of performing duties

36. And shame on every polite, witty one
Of the blind with precise knowledge

37. And words returned about the people of immoralities
Of the blind people of debaucheries

38. So whoever toiled and traveled and roamed time
And talked in mosques and road

39. That is snakes and desert wolf
And jail mouse from old rat

40. And whoever prayed with people or recited
He'd attack you like bellowing camel

41. And whoever became teaching in the suburbs
He's attributed in dogs to wickedness

42. He dies and collects scraps greedily
And sucks up not sipping the pure drink

43. And whoever climbed steps is Trash
Poverty makes him with the paupers

44. So I was tempted by the blind my lifetime
As the lover is tempted by the beloved

45. And I used to love Bashar ibn Burd
And recite his poetry with passionate love

46. So I came to blame Bashar and Burd
Because of the blind people of debaucheries
