1. Youth has departed with its pleasures,
And joy has become evasive.

2. My gait has been laden with age,
Rendering me an old man.

3. I have ridden the wild horses of prohibition,
With a wandering, unruly mind.

4. I have abandoned the pleasures of the soul,
Out of ignorance and stupidity.

5. So it is said, "A righteous old man,
Not someone regretful or hesitant."

6. Thus my life passed with regret,
Leaving me an empty vessel.
