1. Perhaps his death comes after me,
Or his wish is mine before.

2. He mocks me, that if he chose,
He'd choose my nature, and tomorrow be like me.

3. He blames me for a flaw brought by love,
Yet the flaw's not my doing at all.

4. Indeed God's judgment is just,
My legs' bending reveals justice.

5. The legs' flaw doesn't shame me
If my mind is sound and honors me.

6. Of what harm is the sword's bent blade
If death resides in the sword's strike?
