To it is this, the greatest edifice

3. Every palace and heavenly towering height
Is, compared to it, years old and dated

4. The masters of earth, thus mosques have become
And corners, Her servants and handmaidens

5. She surpassed the best of buildings
As Ahmed surpassed all prophets

6. Elite of all peoples, origin of lands
Every merit came from him to the virtuous

7. He came while time was dark, so it shone
From him in it the sun of guidance and lit up

8. All eras became from him daylight
And it had indeed been a very dark night

9. He came while knowledge, merits and divine oneness
Were dead, so they came alive

10. He is the unique existence, none created by God
Is his equal in perfection, co-evals
