1. Do not blame me for my sullen appearance
For in my heart there is much sorrow and grief

2. It could not attain the fragrance of a pleasant soul
Ask it while it is intent upon souls

3. A country whose people excelled and became
The best of all lands with the precious Prophet

4. It is the mother of all lights which the brain has adorned
The full moon of moons, the sun of suns

5. The best of all the best, the highest of the high
In the most sublime, the leader of all leaders

6. Allah's elite of all creation
The cream of mankind, the choicest of the holy

7. Its miracles dawned and continued
Illuminations shining amidst the Pleiades

8. Hidden only from one who blinds his intellect
To the drowned in misguidance, the blind miserable one

9. It shone like stars guiding and leading
The precious from all people and the lowly

10. For the faithful it is endless good fortune
While for disbelievers it is perpetual ill fate
