1. O prophet, great with God,
And beloved to Him, a generous worshipper,

2. You surpassed the Messiah, you surpassed the Word,
You surpassed Noah and you surpassed Abraham,

3. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You surpassed the Spirit, you surpassed Israfil,

4. You surpassed Gabriel, you surpassed Michael,
You surpassed all people, generations,

5. God did not create anyone like you, a great leader,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

6. You are the origin of existence, none can equal you,
No one’s merit, without your favor, has merit,

7. Past and future are equal to you,
You have encompassed all existence, ancient and recent,

8. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You are the light of time, the light of place,

9. From you the rest of the universes shone,
Fire attained a share of your bright light,

10. And the stars were illuminated by a share of it,

11. You are the manifestation of generosity in existence,
And every fortunate person draws happiness,

12. You were granted the best of this life for the best worshippers,
And with their joy, eternal bliss,

13. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You are the unique one of the universes and their totality,

14. You are the origin and all else are branches,
Your light is the full moon and the rest are plants,

15. Some prospered while others became bleak,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

16. You are the full moon of full moons, sun of suns,
Extended with the light, best of souls,

17. Sustained from the Most Holy presence,
From it you received distinction and generalization,

18. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You are the sun of guidance and ocean of gifts,

19. The Giver has granted you the best qualities,
A glimpse from your brilliance guides the pious,

20. A breeze from your hand revives the feeble,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

21. You are the best of all creations, absolutely,
Master of creations, elite of the Creator,

22. About you Gabriel said to Buraq,
None like him have I carried, ever so generous,

You are a worshipper of God, you blocked people,

24. You attained closeness to Him that cannot be wished,
And a station on the Throne He loved you with,

25. From it Moses the Interlocutor fled at the Mount,

26. You are the deputy of the Beneficent in the creations,
He gave you sovereignty over the universes,

27. And through you His benevolence was manifest,
Choosing you, guiding straight your practice,

28. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You are the soul of souls, lofty and lowly,

29. And branched out the spirits, origin and offshoot,
If people narrate about you, O embodiment of light,

30. Then pebbles sometimes mimic the stars,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

31. We have narrated from Jabir about your meaning,
With a narration that illuminated your brilliance in us,

32. God blessed you before all creations,
With light from Him, and expanded it universally,

33. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
Adam was the father of forms,

34. As you are father of the spirits,
You are a light that appeared to the prosperous,

35. And from the blind it has remained hidden,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

36. Master of creations, you are God's servant,
After your Master you are singular in existence,

37. And afterward you were the first in this existence,
After you time became barren of the like of you,

38. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
None poorer than you approaches God,

39. Nor richer than you among creations without you,
With His approval He granted you kingship,

40. For others He did not create an equal,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

41. Singular in merit, you have no partner,
God never paired His uniqueness with you,

42. Moses fell unconscious, and the mountain crumbled,
While with Him you remained the All-Powerful, All-Wise,

43. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You encompassed all creations and were granted a status,

44. You saw God the Almighty without modality or embodiment,
You became the manifest and the manifestation,

45. And saw God without limit or anthropomorphism,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

46. All who wished to reach God,
Through other ways lost the path,

47. You are the door for whoever wants entry,
Who enters without your door became deprived,

48. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
God has no path but you,

49. He confined goodness to you when He created you,
Whoever believes through other than your guidance

50. Strayed in effort and became a condemned slave,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

51. You never ceased to be an impoverished servant of God,
Neither a partner nor minister to Him,

52. A distributor of His gifts, never unjust,
For you He did not create an equal,

53. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You came and the universe was sunk in darkness,

54. Overflowing with worship of idols,
So you made monotheism the full moon,

55. Whose light became widespread,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

56. The Beneficent endowed you the best scripture,
Miraculous in its composition, for the intelligent,

57. It is the sun of guidance and full moon of right,
And from God it came to you as a star,

58. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
Master of all scriptures is the Quran,

59. The Criterion between truth and falsehood,
It is the clear blessing, clear elucidation,

60. From you it related the ancient and the recent,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

61. It and your family are two weights,
The best security for people against misguidance,

62. And through you they are our representatives,
Never ceasing, ever attached,

63. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
Without fear for you is what befell us,

64. We became prey for unbelievers,
Ask God for us a manifest opening,

65. And over the unbelievers, all-encompassing victory,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

66. People of hellfire ignited at us,
The evil of wars from which we caught fire,

67. And they cooperated against us from every wicked route,
As you said in the ancient narration,

68. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
They persisted warring against us with all weapons,

69. And raided all the regions,
Replacing all rectitude with corruption,

70. So protect us and protect our religion and the inviolable,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

71. They deceived the unsuspecting with schools,
Deluded them with wishes and gave sorrow,

72. Bewitched them with manifest disbelief,
Until they saw your correct religion as sickly,

73. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
A fire of war flared up against the Muslims,

74. Ignited by the schools of the idolaters,
It burned the religion of our children with misguidance,

75. They made war upon your religion the curriculum,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

76. They entered them with their religion, ignorant,
And nourished misguidance for years,

77. Accompanied the female and male idolaters,
And to the religion of Islam became adversaries,

78. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
All this is the result of disobedience,

79. Flames hastened from the fires,
You are the accepted one in the court of the Beneficent,

80. So if you intercede, it becomes bliss,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

81. You are the sea of benevolence, overflowing in merit,
And my heart is athirst for the sweet stream of your munificence,

82. So honor me by dispelling my sorrows,
And increasing perfection and nobility,

83. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
You are my greatest hope with my Lord,

84. He is my Lord and you are all I need among creations,
Forgive my sickness, as my sin has compounded,

85. Ask Him to pardon me and heal the ailing,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

86. Sickness has afflicted my body and heart,
Rusted, desiring good, with sins,

87. And my affairs are against my will,
You would not be pleased for your servant a condemnable state,

88. O merciful to the believers, compassionate,
I came complaining to you my Master of my ailment,

89. And worries like waves of a deep sea,
If I say a little, it increases despite me,

90. So erase the new and old of them,
O merciful to the believers, compassionate,

91. My age has become sixty years and a year,
I have filled my book with sins,

92. Except that I gained from you a deterrent,
Making wrongs scattered dust,

Life passed, how excellent if it were a life for you!

If I attain a grave near your burial,

95. I have won great success among people,

So accept him, oppressed and wronged,

99. And my dependence after my Lord is upon you,
So favor me by making my stop with you,
