1. I salute you, O virtuous one, I salute you
Towards clouds of laughing, crying rain

2. And you are not in need of rain
For it is from some of your overflowing rivers

3. First of all, the sea of dew has not enriched you
The Lord of mankind, fresh and your Master

4. Muhammad, Ahmed, sun of guidance
The best of mankind, settled in your dwelling

5. Allah sent him to His creation
Obeyed by galaxies and angels

6. So he freed monotheism from its shackles
And shackled polytheism with its ties

7. And guided creation to their Lord
With an Abbasid and joyful moral

8. In peace, more aromatic than the breeze of the morning
And in turmoil, most decisive in killing

9. Until religion became pure through him
Safe from the slander of slanderers

10. You were endowed with all sublime virtues through him
May Allah gladden him and you
