إِذا ما اتَّقى اللَّهَ اِمرؤٌ وَأَطاعَهُ

إِذا ما اتَّقى اللَّهَ اِمرؤٌ وَأَطاعَهُ

فَلَيسَ بِهِ بَأسٌ وإِن كانَ مِن جَرمِ

فَلَيسَ بِهِ بَأسٌ وإِن كانَ مِن جَرمِ

If a man fears God and obeys Him,

If a man fears God and obeys Him

then there is no fault in him, even if he is of Jarm.

He will come to no harm, though he have sinned.

وَلَو جُمِعَت جَرمٌ عَلى رَأسِ نملَةٍ

وَلَو جُمِعَت جَرمٌ عَلى رَأسِ نملَةٍ

لَباتوا شِباعاً يَضرطونَ مِنَ الشَّحمِ

لَباتوا شِباعاً يَضرطونَ مِنَ الشَّحمِ

And were Jarm gathered on an ant's head,

And if all the sins of an ant were heaped

they would spend the night sated, farting from the fat.

Upon its head, it would retire in peace, belching with fatness.
