My soul for her whom I seek with my heart's blood,

And with my body barred from endeavors I count.

My heart is hers, my longing is for her; through her I exist.

And remembrance of her is with me, and my lament with her.

And surely I am worthier of endeavors, were they

Turns of fate I endure, and confront the harshest of them.

    But they—the days—refuse our meeting,

So through a dream-vision my lady honors her servant.

Likewise her elder sister, to the worshippers of her light,

Comes, even if they seek endeavors in her presence.
