The brother of oft-renewed war is not one who draws
Not every faint-hearted man who stands aloof,
himself aside, nor the easily wearied companion at meals;
Nor he who brings ill-omen with him is the brother of war;
وَلَكِنَّbut أَخوهاher brother كُلَّevery أَشعَثَdisheveled ذارِعٍlong-armed

Rather, her brother is every disheveled, long-armed man
But he alone is the brother of war, who is dishevelled and dust-laden,
who bears his weapons high upon a sleek, fleet steed.
And brandishes his weapon over a barren courser.
