Are my companions departing for the eastern lands at dawn,

while I am left in a highland house at Fardah?

May God water the land between al-Qafil and Tabah,

and the land below Armam and above Munshid.

There, had I fallen ill, I would have been visited

by women visitors—whoever finds no healing from them is sorely stricken.

So I wish the women who visited me had not visited me,

and I wish the women absent from me were my visitors.
