O you who go too far in hurting us,

O you who reproach us unjustly,

Between rejection that makes the heart bleed and withholding,

Between blocking that makes the heart bleed and withdrawal,

لا تدلوا بحسنكم قد سلونا

لا تدلوا بحسنكم قد سلونا

وأمنّا من هجركم والتجنّى

وأمنّا من هجركم والتجنّى

Do not presume upon your beauty; we have moved on,

Do not pretend you are good after avoiding us,

And are safe from your abandonment and unjust reproach.

And make us feel safe from your abandonment and aloofness.
