لا دار إلا بوجد

وما أراكم وجدتم

There is no home without passionate longing,

No home but with a beloved one,

And I do not see that you have felt it.

الدار تشكو جفانا

ومصدر الشكو أنتم

The house complains of our neglect,

The home complains of barrenness,

And you are the source of its complaint.

الدار تشكو جفانا

ومصدرُ الشكو أنتم

The house complains of our neglect,

You thrived in poetry,

And in Siut you resided.

And you settled in Suyooti.
