لأسعد باشا السعد لا زال يخدم

لأسعد باشا السعد لا زال يخدم

ودامت له كل العلا والتقدم

ودامت له كل العلا والتقدم

May good fortune ever serve As'ad Pasha,

As'ad Pasha As-Sa'd still serves

And may all eminence and advancement remain his.

And his glory and progress continue

وزير حباه الله عزاً ورفعة

وزير حباه الله عزاً ورفعة

وحياه بالإجلال فهو المعظم

وحياه بالإجلال فهو المعظم

A vizier whom God has granted honor and high rank,

A minister endowed by Allah with honor and prestige

And greeted with reverence—thus he is revered.

And revered with veneration, he is the most magnificent

له همة علياء في حسن شيمة

له همة علياء في حسن شيمة

ورأي سديد للأمور مقومُ

ورأي سديد للأمور مقومُ

He has lofty resolve and a fine disposition,

He has lofty aspirations with good morals

And sound judgment that sets affairs aright.

And sound judgment for balanced affairs

تراه لاه الجود والجد قدوة

تراه لاه الجود والجد قدوة

فلا زال يعطي من يشاء وينعم

فلا زال يعطي من يشاء وينعم

You see him as a model for the generous and diligent,

You see him a model of generosity and diligence

So may he ever give to whomever he wishes and bestow favors.

Continuously giving to whom he wishes and bestowing gifts

له سمعة حسناء في كل موطن

له سمعة حسناء في كل موطن

وصيت كنشر المسك فهو المكرم

وصيت كنشر المسك فهو المكرم

He has a fine reputation in every land,

He has a good reputation in every place

And renown like musk's spreading fragrance—thus he is honored.

And fame spreading like musk, he is the most generous

قصدت حماه مادحاً في جنابه

قصدت حماه مادحاً في جنابه

وفي دعوات الخير للمدح اختم

وفي دعوات الخير للمدح اختم

I sought his sanctuary, praising him in his presence,

I aimed at praising him

And with prayers for blessings I conclude my praise.

And concluded my praises with prayers

واسال ربي ان يطيل بقاءه

واسال ربي ان يطيل بقاءه

ويحفظه رب العباد ويكرم

ويحفظه رب العباد ويكرم

And I ask my Lord to prolong his life,

And I ask my Lord to prolong his life

And may the Lord of His servants protect and honor him.

And protect him, the Lord of creation and honor him
