And the wine of his mouth has been blended with honey,

While what lies in his languid eyelids is unmixed wine.

Thus the unmixed wine that is in his eyelids kills,

And sipping what is in his lips brings delight.

I say, not yet having finished describing his beauty to them:

Easy now—description fails before his beauty.

He is pearls and coral, the full moon and night's darkness.

He is the rose and the lily, the bough and the curving sand dune.
