May it greet you, O Tayba, may it greet you—
I salute you, O virtuous one, I salute you
the downpour of a laughing, weeping cloud.
Towards clouds of laughing, crying rain
وَلستِand you are not للغيثِof rain بمحتاجةٍin need
لأنّهbecause it is منfrom بعضsome of جدواكِyour bounty
And you have no need of rain,
And you are not in need of rain
for it is part of your bounty.
For it is from some of your overflowing rivers

The sea of generosity bestowed on you what freed you from need:
First of all, the sea of dew has not enriched you
the master of all creation, and your master,
The Lord of mankind, fresh and your Master

Allah sent him to His creation

Obeyed by galaxies and angels
فَأطلقَso he freed التوحيدَbelief in God's oneness منfrom قيدهِits fetter
وَقيّدand he bound الشركَpolytheism بأشراكِwith snares
So he freed belief in God's oneness from its fetter,
So he freed monotheism from its shackles
and bound polytheism with snares.
And shackled polytheism with its ties

And he guided creation to their Lord,
And guided creation to their Lord
with a disposition both stern and full of laughter:
With an Abbasid and joyful moral

in peace, more generous than the east wind's breeze,
In peace, more aromatic than the breeze of the morning
and in battle, the deadliest of slayers,
And in turmoil, most decisive in killing

Until religion became pure through him
