وَمُدامَةٍ صَفراءَ في قارورَةٍ

وَمُدامَةٍ صَفراءَ في قارورَةٍ

زَرقاءَ تَحمِلُهُ يَدٌ بَيضاءُ

زَرقاءَ تَحمِلُهُ يَدٌ بَيضاءُ

And yellow wine in a flask,

And yellow wine in a bottle,

blue, borne by a white hand—

Blue, carried by a white hand.

فَالخَمرُ شَمسٌ وَالحَبابُ كَواكِب

فَالخَمرُ شَمسٌ وَالحَبابُ كَواكِب

وَالكَفُّ قُطبٌ وَالزُجاجُ سَماءُ

وَالكَفُّ قُطبٌ وَالزُجاجُ سَماءُ

the wine is a sun, the bubbles stars;

For the wine is a sun, and the bubbles are stars,

the palm is the pole, and the glass the sky.
