يا أَيُّها النازِحُ الشَسوعُ

يا أَيُّها النازِحُ الشَسوعُ

وَدائِعُ القَلبِ لا تَضيعُ

وَدائِعُ القَلبِ لا تَضيعُ

O you who have gone far, far away,

O you the ardent displaced one

The heart's trusts are never lost.

The deposits of the heart do not go astray

أَستَودِعُ اللَهَ مَن إِلَيهِ

أَستَودِعُ اللَهَ مَن إِلَيهِ

قَلبي عَلى نَأيِهِ نَزوعُ

قَلبي عَلى نَأيِهِ نَزوعُ

I entrust to God the one toward whom

I entrust Allah with those towards whom

My heart yearns, despite his distance.

My heart, in its remoteness, yearns

إِذا تَذَكَّرتُهُ اِستَهَلَّت

إِذا تَذَكَّرتُهُ اِستَهَلَّت

شَوقاً إِلى وَجهِهِ الدُموعُ

شَوقاً إِلى وَجهِهِ الدُموعُ

When I remember him, there pour forth

When I remember him, tears

Tears of longing for his face.

Of yearning for his face flow forth
