I rode across the deserts, urged onward by the hope that

I embarked upon hope that led me

Brings your abode near despite the remoteness of the desert wastes.

To your distant abode.

ورمت بأن أهدي إليك هدية

فلم أر ما يهديه مثلي لشرواكا

And I wished to offer you a gift,

And I thought to bring you a gift,

But found nothing that one like me could give to one like you.

But found nothing a man like me could offer to deserve your friendship,

فجئتك بالأرضين جمعاً تفاؤلاً

فجئتك بالأرضين جمعاً تفاؤلاً

لعلمي بأن الفال رائد عقباك

لعلمي بأن الفال رائد عقباك

So I came to you with all the lands gathered together, as a good omen,

So I came to you with all the earth, hopefully,

For I know that a good omen heralds your destiny.

Knowing fate guides your steps.

فخذ هذه واستخدم الفلك الذي

براه إلهي كي يدور ببغياكا

So take this, and employ the celestial sphere that

My God fashioned to revolve according to your wishes.

My God created, that it may sail with your will.
