لئن كان قربك لي نافعا

فبعدك أصبح لي أنفعا

then your distance has become more beneficial to me.

لأنني أمنت رزايا الدهور

لأنني أمنت رزايا الدهور

وإن حل خطب فلن أجزعا

وإن حل خطب فلن أجزعا

For I am safe from the calamities of time,

Because I have learned to withstand the blows of fate,

and if a calamity strikes, I shall not be dismayed.

And if disaster strikes, I shall not despair.
