لَمَّا سَألتُ الناسَ أَينَ المكرَمه

لَمَّا سَألتُ الناسَ أَينَ المكرَمه

والعِزُّ والجُرثُومَةُ المقَدَّمَه

والعِزُّ والجُرثُومَةُ المقَدَّمَه

When I asked the people, “Where is generosity,

When I asked the people where is the honored one

and honor, and the foremost ancestral stock,

And the glory and primacy

وأَين فَارُوقُ الاُمُور المُحكَمَه

وأَين فَارُوقُ الاُمُور المُحكَمَه

تَتَابَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَى ابنِ شُبرُمَه

تَتَابَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَى ابنِ شُبرُمَه

and where is the discerner of firmly established matters?”

And where is the judge of important matters

One after another, the people agreed on Ibn Shubruma.

People followed the son of Shubrumah
