Give us drink, O Yazid, from the wine jug.
Give me to drink, O Yazid, from the gurgling jug
We have grown merry, and the pipe has sighed,
For we are enraptured and the lute is moaning

Of wine like the blood of a young gazelle,
With a drink that is like the blood of an unweaned lamb
Aged by Hashima the wine-seller.
Aged by the dregs of the wine-merchant's flagon
